In this training, I guide students through the anatomy of the scalenes muscles and important structures nearby.  You will learn where the scalenes reside in the neck, how they act on the cervical spine, and what gets them into trouble.  Students will learn what kinds of symptoms the scalenes cause and what your clients will say to let you know to work on the scalenes.  

  Many of our clients, okay, ALL of our clients, are experiencing stress and perhaps locked in chronic states of stress.  Who isn't?  In this class you will learn how stress affects the scalenes muscles and a simple breathing practice that you can guide your clients through to help them relax more deeply, sink into the table, and prepare to receive the excellent work ahead.   Frankly, I use this practice as I begin EVERY SINGLE session, because everyone's got stress.  This guided breathing is something you might want to offer all your clients, not just those with scalenes issues.

  Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is clearly outlined and this scalenes treatment protocol has helped my clients get rid of this syndrome many, many times.  If you can effectively treat the scalenes, you can help someone rid themselves of TOS.  

  After I give you all that anatomy background and talk about what causes tension in these muscles, I then guide you through each step of the protocol, including some fascial stripping which EVERYONE LOVES, and trigger point location and release.   After the demonstration, we break for lunch and then return to trade and practice on each other. If time allows, we spend a little bit of time rolling on therapy balls to find the points in ourselves which makes it easier to locate them in your clients.

  Once you practice this a little bit, your clients will be asking for this work EVERY TIME!  It's that good, and that effective.
