Want to effectively treat chronic stress related back pain?  Looking to understand and correct SI joint dysfunction?

Join us on the adventure into the deepest tissues surrounding the lumbar spine.

HELPING YOU BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE

MY TEACHING IS NOT SIMPLY SHOWING YOU ANATOMY PICTURES AND THEN DEMONSTRATING TECHNIQUE.

MY GOAL FOR YOU IS TO REALLY GAIN DEEP UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE MUSCLES YOU ARE WORKING WITH, HOW THEY DEVELOP TENSION AND CAUSE YOUR CLIENTS' PAIN, AND HOW TO EFFECTIVELY RELEASE THAT TENSION TO CREATE GREATER EASE IN YOUR CLIENTS.

Once you purchase the course, you will receive an email detailing how to access your online membership page.  You have lifetime access to this membership site and can watch the classes as many times as you want.

Here's a glimpse at what you'll be getting in the online course

Effective Treatment of the Psoas and QL

ANATOMY

In the PowerPoint portion of the training, I teach you where these muscles live and what they do.

We go over the synergists and antagonists and why it's important to work these muscles in the same treatment.

STRESS AND THE PSOAS

Learn how stress activates tension in the psoas and a simple, effective guided breathing practice to release stress and soften the

nervous system.

SYMPTOMS

Students will learn the pain referral patterns of the iliopsoas and QL, and what kinds of things your clients will say that indicate they need this work.

DEMONSTRATION

I clearly show you how to softly sink into the belly to access the psoas.  You will learn how to release the down and forward pull of iliacus on the pelvis and grand finale with clearing the quadratus lumborum.

Liz Koch calls the psoas the "muscle of the soul."  Indeed, the more we learn about this important tissue, the more we see the psoas as much more than a hip flexor.  The psoas is an important bridge between the primitive brain, the amygdala, and the entire physical body.  Every fear, every stress, every trauma is felt and experienced by the psoas.

There is no more important time than right now to learn how to engage with this muscle in a profoundly respectful manner.  Every single client from now on will need this work.  Every one.

In this training, I guide students through the anatomy of the iliopsoas and quadratus lumborum muscles and important structures nearby.  You will learn where the muscles reside in the body, how they act on the lumbar spine, and what gets them into trouble and tension.  Students will learn what kinds of symptoms the psoas and QL cause and what your clients will say to let you know to work on these muscles.  For instance, the QL creates an electric like ZAP at the SI joint which often brings people to their knees.

We are experiencing a global trauma in the form of the pandemic.  It is incredibly stressful for every one of your clients.  For all of us.  In this class you will learn how stress and fear affect the psoas muscle directly and a simple breathing practice that you can guide your clients through to help them relax more deeply, sink into the table, and prepare to receive the excellent work ahead.   Frankly, I use this practice as I begin EVERY SINGLE session, because everyone's got stress.

After I give you all that anatomy background and talk about what causes tension in these muscles, I then guide you through each step of the protocol, including some fascial stripping in the belly (not comfortable but WORTH IT!), and trigger point location and release, and lots of soothing and integrative techniques.
