RELEASING THE PSOAS AND QUADRATUS LUMBORUM

WANT TO EFFECTIVELY TREAT CHRONIC STRESS RELATED BACK PAIN?  WANT TO FIX SI JOINT DYSFUNCTION?  HERE'S YOUR CLASS...

HELPING YOU BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE

MY TEACHING IS NOT SIMPLY SHOWING YOU ANATOMY PICTURES AND THEN DEMONSTRATING TECHNIQUE.

MY GOAL FOR YOU IS TO REALLY GAIN DEEP UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE MUSCLES YOU ARE WORKING WITH, HOW THEY DEVELOP TENSION AND CAUSE YOUR CLIENTS' PAIN, AND HOW TO EFFECTIVELY RELEASE THAT TENSION TO CREATE GREATER EASE IN YOUR CLIENTS.

Here's a glimpse at what you'll be getting in the LIVE version of

Effective Treatment of the Psoas and QL

ANATOMY

In the PowerPoint portion of the training, I teach you where these muscles live and what they do.

We go over the synergists and antagonists and why it's important to work these muscles in the same treatment.

STRESS AND THE PSOAS

Learn how stress activates tension in the psoas and a simple, effective guided breathing practice to release stress and soften the

nervous system.

SYMPTOMS

Students will learn the pain referral patterns of the iliopsoas and QL, and what kinds of things your clients will say that indicate they need this work.

DEMONSTRATION

I clearly show you how to softly sink into the belly to access the psoas.  You will learn how to release the down and forward pull of iliacus on the pelvis and grand finale with clearing the quadratus lumborum.

About Releasing the Psoas and Quadratus Lumborum (QL)

7 CEs  NCBTMB

In this one day LIVE training, I guide students through the anatomy of the iliopsoas and quadratus lumborum muscles and important structures nearby.  You will learn where the muscles reside in the body, how they act on the lumbar spine, and what gets them into trouble and tension.  Students will learn what kinds of symptoms the psoas and QL cause and what your clients will say to let you know to work on these muscles.

Many of our clients, okay, ALL of our clients, are experiencing stress and perhaps locked in chronic states of stress.  Who isn't?  In this class you will learn how stress affects the psoas muscle directly and a simple breathing practice that you can guide your clients through to help them relax more deeply, sink into the table, and prepare to receive the excellent work ahead.   Frankly, I use this practice as I begin EVERY SINGLE session, because everyone's got stress.  This guided breathing is something you might want to offer all your clients, not just those with back issues.

After I give you all that anatomy background and talk about what causes tension in these muscles, I then guide you through each step of the protocol, including some fascial stripping in the belly (not comfortable but WORTH IT!), and trigger point location and release.

Once you practice this a little bit, your clients will be asking for this work!  It's good.  It's effective.  Let's get started.
